MURCIELAGO OWNERSHIP

Due to age, the Murcielago, one of the most collectable and desirable exotics by Lamborghini is now more affordable in comparison to other super cars in the same league. This car must be driven to be appreciated. As Jeremy Clarkson was quoted, "this car was designed to grab hold of the small boy that lives in us all... and shake him half to death". So for those of you who are considering one, what might be the costs associated with owning such a vehicle in Australia?

12 Month Registration Fee QLD: $780.15
12 Month Registration Fee NSW: $505.00
Minor Dealer Service: $1300~
(Oil, oil filter, cabin filter, transmission, differential fluid, brake fluid)
Major Dealer Service: $2600~
(Same as minor service, plus spark plugs, vehicle diagnostic checks and a few extras.)
Tyres: Pirelli PZERO Rosso Front 245/35/18 ($342 each) and Rear 335/30/18 ($820 each)

Of course, fluid changes and filter changes are fairly straight forward and if you are pretty handy with the tools then there is no reason why you couldn't order the parts from online sources such as Lambo Stuff and do the swap yourself. The workshop manual is a great place to start for those who wish to investigate this option.
