The M3 model from BMW have always come with some stylish side mirrors from the factory. Remember back in the E36 M3 days where the mirrors would be retrofitted to a number of different vehicles. Fast forward to the E92 M3 and now the F80 M3/F82 M4 - still continuing on the trend with stylish side mirrors. Would they assist in aerodynamics? Unlikely due to the small size in comparison to the body, however, we do agree that they look great. In the latest series, the mirrors from the F80 and F82 can be ordered and retrofitted to the standard F series BMW's while costing you an arm and a leg. If you are simply looking for an aesthetic upgrade while saving a few pennies, why not consider some mirror covers for the F series? They are compatible between the following models - F20 F21 F22 F30 F31 F32 F34 F87 E84. They do not increase wind noise from our testing. In order to fit them, carefully pull the existing covers off by firstly prying off one corner with a trim removal tool. Once you have a solid grip of one edge you can pull the existing cover off with a bit of force.
Simply align the new mirror cover clips to the holes and press with slight force to insert the new mirror cover. Repeat for the other side.
